How we work

One craftsman's hand, from first sketch to final install

Paul personally manages every project — so the person who designs your piece is the person who builds it.

01

Consultation & Design

We start with your space, your style, and your ideas — then translate them into a design built around how you actually live.

02

Hand-Selected Wood

Materials, hardware, and finishes are chosen together. Every board is hand-picked so the grain is on display in every facet.

03

Built in Our Shop

Each piece is joined and shaped by hand using traditional methods — the hand work that gives it strength and soul.

04

Finish & Install

We finish, deliver, and install with care — and follow up on the little things long after the job is done.

In their words

Homeowners who trusted us with the details

Real words from real clients of The Joinery.

Paul was really an artist disguising himself as a high-quality custom woodworker and cabinetmaker… We are blessed that Paul agreed to meet with us. His vision in interpreting our ideas was the single most important element in achieving them.
Rick Martin
We have been enjoying our cabinets in our new home — it's one of the major highlights of the house. Everything from the design work to the finishing was done in expert manner… You can be proud not only of your outstanding product, but the attitude you and your staff bring to a project. Nothing is impossible.
Bud & Judy
The kitchen artfully weds the hand-hewn logs and custom cabinetry. Paul carved, distressed, and added a glazed finish to all of the woodwork, cabinets, and vanities. In the lighter-colored alder, his crew even carved worm holes to add a primitive feel.

He's a genius — nothing is impossible. I really liked the way he treated his staff. He was helpful and respectful.
